Not modern art that we usually go to, but we enjoyed some of the newer works. I liked the ticket prices, encouraging parents to bring a child. :)
This collection was excellent. Many works that are very powerful. Special exhibition of the work of Bertha Wegmann introduced me to a phenomenal artist I had never experienced.
A great art collection in a fabulous exhibition building.
Nice little museum with great collection to great Danish painters.
I really enjoyed going there! It's a small museum but rich of art of Danish painters between '800 e '900. I was really impressed by the art of the painter Kroyer.
Sometimes the system of lights reflecting on the paintings don't allow you to see them perfectly, but that's all. I would definitely reccomend to visit this museum :)
This museum is tucked slightly out of the way and easily missed even though it is very centrally located (and a literal stones throw) from Statens museum for kunst (a massive and impressive art museum in the Danish capital). Hirschsprung contains a small(ish) collection of some very wonderful pieces by artists with roots in Denmark. Nice variation of styles and subjects on display.
Lovely small museum, they have much more work by Hammershøi then I expected to find, based on the information on their website.
A nice little museum that will take up a few hours of your time. It is predominantly oil on canvas spread around several different rooms. As the website will tell you, this focuses on Danish artists.
From the standpoint of size and media, it reminded me of the Frick collection in New York City.
